Seven hours in Tangier. One unsettling story.

The Tribey Media film approaches horror through obsession and creative frustration. Its central tension lies in the relationship between an author and his fictional world — and the damage that relationship can do when it becomes impossible to escape.
Filming against the clock in Morocco
The production was shot on location in Tangier, Morocco, in just one day. In fact, the team had roughly seven hours between arriving in Tangier and departing again. Every shot needed for the film had to be captured within that narrow window, making the schedule a defining part of the experience behind the camera.
Rogue Terrapin collaborated with Tribey Media across physical filming, location scouting, casting, logistics, direction and production. The unusually compressed shoot demanded careful coordination between the creative and practical sides of filmmaking, all while working in real locations in Tangier.
Where Disappearance at the Rock embraced spontaneous performances in Gibraltar, Beneath Tangier brought a different challenge: completing the work of a film production inside the time normally allotted to a short visit to a city.
